South Building
An Elevated Campus Experience
The new South Building design is guided by four key priorities, which are rooted in our overall strategy for the School. Our new physical space will:
- Foster interdisciplinary, cross-departmental collaborations
- Enhance our teaching for tomorrow’s learners
- Provide a door to the community that will naturally extend our partnerships
- Cultivate a diverse, inclusive, efficient, and sustainable environment
The new 250,000-square-foot facility will support the Bloomberg School's mission through dynamic workspaces, state-of-the-art classrooms, and a variety of study, collaboration, and event spaces.

What new spaces and places will South Building and Wolfe Street offer?
The Forum
Located on Lower Level One, the Forum is a light-filled, collaborative space that can also be used for large gatherings. This view looks from the Forum's south end to the main vertical circulation core and opens into the courtyard shared with the School of Nursing to the west.
The Hub
Located on Level Three, the Hub is the heart of the building and includes a passageway to the Wolfe Street Building bridge. This view looks north into the Hub, with Level Four space above.
