Spotlight

Funding the Lifeline: How States Are Sustaining 988 and Transforming Crisis Care

The launch of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline marked an important federal milestone as suicide rates continue to rise in the country. Researchers, Sachini Bandara, PhD, MS, and Elizabeth Stuart, PhD, AM, are leading a national study to uncover how state-level financing decisions shape 988 Lifeline services.

Student Spotlight: Leslie Carson

Leslie Carson is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Mental Health. Her research focuses on the effects of historical redlining upon substance use and mental health management. In this Student Spotlight, Leslie shares her educational journey, her dissertation plans, and her favorite ice cream places in Baltimore!

Work-In-Progress/Book Club Series

Each semester, the CMAP community gathers monthly for a series alternating between a work-in-progress (WIP) presentation and a book club discussion. Sessions are hybrid and lunch is provided for in-person attendees. Learn more on our events page, linked below.
