Dr. Sugarman studies how policies can promote access to high-quality health services for historically marginalized people, specifically people who use drugs.

The Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR) held their annual conference April 7-9 at the New York Academy of Medicine in New York City. We were lucky to be hosted by the Columbia Center for Injury Science and Prevention. Over 500 participants from around the country participated in this premier conference to share and learn about life-saving research to prevent injuries and violence.
