Overview

Dr. Ervin's research interests focus on integrating innovative methods, including artificial intelligence, to improve the efficiency of clinical trials, advance representation in trials, and build the capacity to conduct clinical trials worldwide. 

Dr. Ervin also designs and conducts randomized clinical trials with a particular focus on interventions to treat and prevent ocular disease and visual impairment and interventions to improve access to eye care for underserved populations. She holds a joint appointment in the Department of Ophthalmology and is a member of the Dana Center for Preventive Ophthalmology

Additional areas of interest and collaboration include bioethics and vestibular rehabilitation clinical trials.

Dr. Ervin is the Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis Track Director and the faculty coordinator for the Clinical Trials Certificate Program.
