Description
Introduces students to experts across a variety of industries including government, clinical care, research, and private and non-profit organizations who utilize information technology and informatics concepts in the real world.  Covers topics: how information technology is utilized in a variety of settings including clinical, public health, and research; what ethical considerations must be considered as an informatics specialist;  what are the challenges experienced in implementing and utilizing health information technology that informatics experts have faced.
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
