Description
Presents basic concepts of relational database design for clinical and basic research. Includes development of data collection forms, building databases for both “classic” and “longitudinal” projects using REDCap, data quality control, and data security.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Construct a database environment for efficient storage and access of data
  2. Perform queries for data quality control and exportation to statistical packages for analysis
  3. Describe the relational database environment
