Health, Behavior and Society
The Department of Health, Behavior and Society seeks optimal ways to change human behavior to improve public health. Established in 2005, the program remains dedicated to research and training that advances understanding of how behaviors within an environmental context operate at the individual, organizational, community and societal levels—and to promoting effective interventions. Concentrations include social determinants of health, health communication and education, and the behavioral and social aspects of genetics.

Health Policy and Management
The program offer a diverse spectrum of study in areas such as health services research and policy, health and public policy, health economics and policy, bioethics and health policy, health leadership and management, and social policy. Graduates of the Department of Health Policy and Management go on to champion public health in a variety of roles and sectors including academia, federal and state government agencies, and in the private and nonprofit sectors.

International Health
The Department of International Health seeks to understand health problems and develop means of disease reduction and health protection in underserved populations around the world. The department is organized into four program areas: Global Disease Epidemiology and Control; Health Systems; Human Nutrition; and Social and Behavioral Interventions.
