Judging E-Cigarettes by Their Cover: A Sociological Look at Packaging | Katherine Clegg Smith, PhD
Innovations in Tobacco Control Lecture Series | Guest Lecturer
About the Event
Let’s face it: looks matter. A product’s appearance shapes what we notice, how we respond to it, and what we ultimately try and/or buy. This holds true even for things like tobacco and nicotine products, which carry inherent health risks. So what might we uncover by considering cigarette and e-cigarette product packaging through a sociological lens? Presented in a hybrid format this month (register to attend in person or via Zoom), this Innovations in Tobacco Control special event welcomes Katherine Clegg Smith, PhD, for a lecture entitled “Judging E-cigarettes by Their Cover: A Sociological Look at Packaging.”
In-person admission includes a complimentary boxed lunch.
Hosted by the Institute for Global Tobacco Control (IGTC), the monthly Innovations in Tobacco Control lecture series welcomes key researchers and experts to share ideas, present their work, and spark discussion. The lecture will be followed by a brief moderated Q&A and a recording of the event will subsequently be posted to IGTC’s YouTube channel.
