Advising State Rape Prevention Education Programs

The Center's close relationship with the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) allows our center to translate research into actionable activities. Selected by the MDH to provide state-level evaluation services for the Rape Prevention and Education program, Shannon Frattaroli and Elise Omaki interact with MDH subrecipients and stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of prevention strategies implemented on the ground, acquire insight into issues faced by frontline practitioners, provide technical assistance, and training and evaluation support of subrecipient and state-level programming. Frattaroli and colleagues have worked with college campus administrators and victims support services directors to help bring a population level prevention framework to their organization’s work and provide recommendations for future directions and evaluation activities. For additional information, please contact Elise Omaki at eperry@jhu.edu.
