JH-IIRU Presents Second Round of Data Collection in Cordoba, Argentina

In March 2024, the Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit (JH-IIRU) joined Argentina’s National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) for a kick-off meeting with authorities in Cordoba. 

Attendees were briefed on findings from the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS)-supported Status Summary Report 2023, which contained data collected during the first half of 2023. Results from a second round of data collection, specifically targeting speed, were also presented. This dataset was collected in December 2023. 

Furthermore, CONICET and the Ministry of Urban Mobility held a capacity building workshop aimed at empowering the local government to carry out observational studies for road safety risk factors.
